Bose VideoWave Television

The Bose VideoWave and Click Pad Remote was a response to Dr. Bose’s challenge to simplify how people watch TV. The VideoWave monitor integrates high-performance acoustics in a HD flat panel, creating a surround sound experience with no visible speakers and without the hassle of running wires around the room.

The Click Pad Remote and its user-interface is a dramatic breakthrough in how people engage with video. The remote provides the basic functions of power, source selection, volume and channel. The touch-senstive click pad reveals an on-screen interface to select additional functions without obscuring what the user is watching. The benefits are simple and dramatic: controls are contextual to the video source device, immediately available when necessary, and the user no longer needs to look away from the screen to control the experience.

Described as “the soul of simplicity” by the New York Times, the VideoWave launched in September 2010. It was an IDEA Finalist and winner of the 2011 Red Dot Best of the Best.
